Safety and efficacy of glucose oxidase
Pulemei glucose oxidase, as a new type of feed enzyme preparation to replace antibiotics, has been included in the "Catalogue of Feed Additives (2013)" by the Ministry of Agriculture. It is an aerobic dehydrogenase that consumes oxygen during the reaction process, producing hydrogen peroxide with bactericidal properties and acidic gluconic acid. Therefore, glucose oxidase can be used as a green additive to improve the balance of animal gut microbiota, increase feed utilization, promote animal growth, and replace antibiotics.
Definition of Pulemei Glucose Oxidase Activity
The enzyme activity unit, U/g or U/mL, that catalyzes the oxidation of glucose to gluconic acid per minute in a phosphate buffer solution with pH 5.5 at 37 ℃.
